The day our school became a farm!
"Woof, woof, mee, mee, moo, moo, cluck, cluck, bleat, bleat, neigh, neigh" were some of the sounds you could hear!
Lots of special visitors from our community came along to judge our animals and our 'indoor activities'. As well as bringing along our pets we could choose to do a colouring competition, a Lego creation, a farm in a shoe box, decorate a cupcake, decorate a gumboot and a photography competition.
Outside, we looked after our animals, showed the judges how we walk them and told the judges all about how we look after them.
Genevieve and Bella were really kind and let the children ride their ponies around the foots.
There was a lamb and calf milk drinking competition. Henrietta won and Charlie came second!
At the end of a very busy Pet Day we had a big prize giving assembly where we were awarded certificates and prizes for our animals and other activities.
Charlie had the best day because it was also his birthday!
We are already excited for Pet Day next year! Henrietta and Isobel want to get a horse ready for next years event. Noah and Charlie would like to bring a dog but Willow said she definitely will not bring Tahini her cat because he bites!
